Madeleines are cute, little sponge cakes with a distinctive shell-like shape acquired from being baked in pans with shell-shaped depressions. They're amazing but we took ours up a few notches (naturally)!
Our version is flavoured with real dried lavender and honey and covered in a white chocolate and hibiscus glaze.
These were great, easy to make. My one comment would be that I like my Madelines a little bigger. The form that came in the kit makes them somewhat small.
